Welcome to my blog. Running out of time is about sharing all things beautiful. Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists expires. Life is too short, so let's start writing.

Absolutely Nothing.

Since my last post was on the subject of vintage clothing, I couldn't possibly go on without writing about one of my favourite musicians and fellow Brit, Lily Allen.

This girl (in her own words) doesn't care about clever or funny but one thing she definitely cares about is clothes. Not only has she been the face for Chanel's handbag line Chanel Coco Cocoon but she also snatched the title for best 'British Female Solo Artist' at the 2010 Brit Awards.

Her current project is with sister Sarah Owen, a brilliant vintage line named Lucy In Disguise. They have both opened their wardrobe for us and have put their best pieces on shameless display, under one deeply chic roof on Kings Street that started with absolutely nothing.

Here is their charming interview for London's Fashion 411.

Allen and Owen’s pick of labels to know.

Bill Gibb; The flowy dresses of this Scottish designer (who outfitted everyone from Twiggy to Bianca Jagger) are completely in keeping with the current long-and-loose trend (£120-£1,200).

Laurence Kazar; You will definitely wear one of this New York designers sequinned jackets from the ’80s more often than you would think (£80-£200).

Leonard; Next summer (or on a sunny winter holiday), the colourful printed cotton dresses and matching bikinis from the French fashion house will look as fresh as they did 30 years ago (£250-£700).

Zoe Coste; This season is all about polish, right? Even your most basic tee and jeans outfit becomes glamorized with gold and coral cuffs or chunky bracelets from this ’60s designer (£150-£450).

Here are some snaps directly from Lily's twitter page.

I love vintage and I felt like we could highlight how brilliant vintage shopping can be. Neither myself nor my sister are designers, but we love fashion and working with vintage allows us to be creative and as involved with the clothes as we can be - Lily Rose Beatrice Allen.
