Simple Obsessions.
Last night was a massive event for our dear friend Jon Danovic. This man is full of immense talent. His latest endeavor, with his right-hand-man Brian Girard (producer), is a concert film he directed at The Walt Disney Concert Hall for the band The Airborne Toxic Event titled 'All I Ever Wanted'. They are an American rock band from Los Feliz, California, comprising Mikel Jollett (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Steven Chen (guitar, keyboards), Noah Harmon (bass, backing vocals), Daren Taylor (drums) and Anna Bulbrook (viola, keyboards, tambourine, backing vocals).
Danovic is not only a director, but also an editor, shooter and recently one of his simple obsessions, a live DJ. As Maryon Pearson once said, 'behind every successful man is a very smart woman'. That smart woman is Lucy, his lovely wife and my great friend. She definitely knows how to keep him in line.
After much hard work and intense creativity, the film premiered at The Vista Theatre in Silverlake. Bravo is the only word I can use.
