Welcome to my blog. Running out of time is about sharing all things beautiful. Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists expires. Life is too short, so let's start writing.

The Child In Us.

The concept 'Eccentric Attic' is inspired by a 14 year old high school girl from her hometown sweet Chicago. She is no ordinary girl, she is a unique old soul with grey hair and a very hipster fashion sense. Tavi Gevinson started her fashion blog Style Rookie at the age of 11 clueless of what she was getting herself into. With her creative writing skills and wacky outfits she caught the attention of fashions A-list names including Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte and Karl Lagerfeld. As one of the most photographed ladies at Fashion Week, Tavi describes herself as someone who likes to sit at home with awkward looking jackets and pretty hats.

We used her style sense to execute this concept, filled with granny cardigans, chiffon peasant tops, neutral faux fur, vintage florals, volume and pleated skirts, tweed paper bag shorts, romantic lace topped with accessories such as granny boots, mary janes, bow hats and oxfords. The end result turned out to be a success and a great transition into fall.

'Eccentric Attic' styled and merched by yours truly.

"I like making images that from a distance seem kind of seductive, colorful, luscious and engaging, and then you realize what you're looking at is something totally opposite. It seems boring to me to pursue the typical idea of beauty, because that is the easiest and the most obvious way to see the world. It's more challenging to look at the other side'' - Cindy Sherman.
