Welcome to my blog. Running out of time is about sharing all things beautiful. Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists expires. Life is too short, so let's start writing.

Weightless.

Summer is here. Yes, today is summer solstice.. I can just feel how excited you are. Living in Los Angeles I don't seem to appreciate this day as much as most of you out there, especially the readers in Europe. I hate to rub it in but you know Cali, the city of sun.. (hmmm... is that even a saying)?

Summer reminds me of two things.. House music and red lipstick. I don't require much to keep myself happy, especially during summer. This is the season where one appears to seem weightless.

If you’ve been touched by house music at some point in your life then you’ll know the whole meaning of this killer house set by DJ Seta entitled “I Love House Music.” Starting off with the timeless track “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics this is no ordinary remix, Seta has picked a track with pulsating bass that just leaves you wanting more…so much more! And DJ Seta delivers with “Takes Me Away” and “Africa” blending so sweetly it’s as if these tracks were produced at the exact same studio. Of course it doesn’t stop there, you’ll feel energized and happy once you “Feel the Heat” and get ready for your “Lapdance”, these mixes continue to build on each other, climbing and as long as you “Listen to the Beat” you’ll really get it….House Music is all about L-O-V-E.

Apart from DJ Seta my all time top house tracks are;

1. Beautiful Things - Andain
2. Let You Go - ATB
3. Stay - JJ Flores & Steve Smooth
4. At The End - IIO
5. Get Better - KMC
6. Empty Streets - Late Night Alumni
7. Deadline - Dutch Force
8. Tranzy State of Mind - George Acosta
9. More & More - Spoiled & Zigo
10. In My Memory - Tiesto

If you don't want to download them individually then I suggest bookmarking the Trance/House station on Pandora... two thumbs up.

I'm a big fan of red lipstick in the summer. Not only is it unexpected, but it looks so refreshing with the season’s bronzy skin and softly flushed cheeks. The trick is to choose an orange-y red to keep things bright. And skip anything matte—it’s too heavy for summer. You want a creamy lipstick so the colour looks moist.

You can even wear this look during the daytime: After you swipe on the colour, blot your lips with a tissue to take the shade down to a soft red stain. Just keep in mind that red lips, no matter which way you wear them, only work in the summer if the rest of your makeup is fresh and natural. For example nothing more than a taupe eye shadow and black mascara, simple as.

Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick - Gwyneth Paltrow.
