Welcome to my blog. Running out of time is about sharing all things beautiful. Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists expires. Life is too short, so let's start writing.

Morphing Thru Time.

One thing I don't get bored of is staying home. I love my home and I love the peace and energy that it provides me. My home is sort of a template of my life, the personal and meaningful objects that I have collected all represent me as I have morphed thru time. After figuring out the new Nikon I decided to give it a test ride... enjoy.

I’ve been collecting Buddha statues for a few years now and I love them. I think they’re beautiful and display them in my living room. I'm not a Buddhist, as a matter of fact I don't follow a religion, I think religion is evil. But I respect and love to learn about all religions. I have an ohm symbol tattooed on my arm, again another symbol from another religion. I hadn’t really thought much of any of this until someone told me that God is a jealous God.. I stopped for a second and giggled.

I have about 53 candles in my home. They are never lit.

I am a mother to two special boys. Pure and Simple are not just cats. This piece is one of my favourites.

More unlit candles.

Incense are fun, they smell amazing. Especially the really cheap ones that I buy from this one guy in Venice. I probably have enough incense to fit in a dressing drawer and of course I had to have this vintage incense holder, purchased from a rustic thrift store in Idyllwild.

I drink a lot of wine, I am not an alcoholic. I like to collect corks, another obsession.

Leaves. Every Autumn they fall. I like what it represents.

I am very curious about paintings, these two pieces where bought in Phoenix at a small art fest.

I am very intrigued with boxes, anything I can fill and then close the lid... yep i'll take it. This heart shaped sterling silver box was given to me from a dear friend. Enclosed are miniature post-its that were written about four years ago to APW. We were away from each other for 48 days and each day I wrote a post-it about why I love him... Yes, cheesy.

Again, I am not an alcoholic.

Elephants, they calm me. I've never had the opportunity to ride one but hopefully sometime next year during my trip to India... (wishful thinking).

Buddha - on my wall.

I found this key holder at a rubbish yard, couldn't let it pass by.

My favourite flowers are roses. My dear mother gave this to me. I love you, mum. Please pardon the dust.

I listened to quite a bit of their stuff. My dad bought me their special edition watch when I was around 15. I sold the watch and kept the box. It is now used to store guitar picks and pennies.

Every girl should have a Marilyn picture on their wall.

Inspirational sayings. It lives in the bathroom, go figure.

Me. A pathological photographer.

Weightless.

Summer is here. Yes, today is summer solstice.. I can just feel how excited you are. Living in Los Angeles I don't seem to appreciate this day as much as most of you out there, especially the readers in Europe. I hate to rub it in but you know Cali, the city of sun.. (hmmm... is that even a saying)?

Summer reminds me of two things.. House music and red lipstick. I don't require much to keep myself happy, especially during summer. This is the season where one appears to seem weightless.

If you’ve been touched by house music at some point in your life then you’ll know the whole meaning of this killer house set by DJ Seta entitled “I Love House Music.” Starting off with the timeless track “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics this is no ordinary remix, Seta has picked a track with pulsating bass that just leaves you wanting more…so much more! And DJ Seta delivers with “Takes Me Away” and “Africa” blending so sweetly it’s as if these tracks were produced at the exact same studio. Of course it doesn’t stop there, you’ll feel energized and happy once you “Feel the Heat” and get ready for your “Lapdance”, these mixes continue to build on each other, climbing and as long as you “Listen to the Beat” you’ll really get it….House Music is all about L-O-V-E.

Apart from DJ Seta my all time top house tracks are;

1. Beautiful Things - Andain
2. Let You Go - ATB
3. Stay - JJ Flores & Steve Smooth
4. At The End - IIO
5. Get Better - KMC
6. Empty Streets - Late Night Alumni
7. Deadline - Dutch Force
8. Tranzy State of Mind - George Acosta
9. More & More - Spoiled & Zigo
10. In My Memory - Tiesto

If you don't want to download them individually then I suggest bookmarking the Trance/House station on Pandora... two thumbs up.

I'm a big fan of red lipstick in the summer. Not only is it unexpected, but it looks so refreshing with the season’s bronzy skin and softly flushed cheeks. The trick is to choose an orange-y red to keep things bright. And skip anything matte—it’s too heavy for summer. You want a creamy lipstick so the colour looks moist.

You can even wear this look during the daytime: After you swipe on the colour, blot your lips with a tissue to take the shade down to a soft red stain. Just keep in mind that red lips, no matter which way you wear them, only work in the summer if the rest of your makeup is fresh and natural. For example nothing more than a taupe eye shadow and black mascara, simple as.

Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick - Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Same Parents.

Anyone wanting a new kitten should be a cat lover. Let's face it folks, cats are just different from dogs. Cats do not usually perform any special tricks, and they certainly do not guard your possessions while you are away. In fact, the only thing you can be guaranteed of by having a cat is that a mouse won't last long if they creep into your home.

Cats are loved by many because of their independence. Cats have a life, so to speak. Most cats do not follow you around the home with their tongues hanging out of their mouths waiting on your attention. While they do love their owners fiercely, cats will not grovel like a dog and worship and fawn over their owners. Cats are perfectly content simply being themselves--and they do not seem to need constant reassurance, unlike canines.

This does not mean cats do not need love and affection, it simply means cats are not "fragile" characters. In fact, cats exude a self assurance which can often be misunderstood as aloofness or coldness. Yet, cats are far from aloof or unfeeling. They feel deeply and love deeply. If a cat comes to sit on your lap, you know you are truly loved.

I absolutely adore my cats, they are like my family. They make me giggle and provide constant entertainment. Although they both have the same parents they are completely different.
